Eagles receiver A.J. Brown married his longtime partner Kelsey Nicole Riley in a private ceremony in St. Lucia on Saturday. The couple, who have been together since 2018 and share two children, announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday with a photo from the beachfront ceremony.
Who is Kelsey Nicole Riley?
A model and entrepreneur from Memphis, Tennessee. She runs a swimwear and athleisure brand called Riley Co. and has roughly 850,000 Instagram followers. Brown and Riley have been together since their college days at Ole Miss. They have two children together: a daughter born in 2020 and a son born in 2023.
How did Brown announce it?
He posted a photo of the ceremony on Instagram with the caption 'I do.' Riley posted a series of photos to her own account with the caption 'Mr. and Mrs. Brown.' Eagles teammates Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley all attended. Head coach Nick Sirianni and several Philadelphia executives were also among the guests.
What was the ceremony like?
Private and beachfront, held at the Sugar Beach resort in St. Lucia. The wedding party was small (roughly 80 guests by various estimates) and the entire trip lasted three days. Brown wore a custom Tom Ford suit. The first dance was reportedly to 'All of Me' by John Legend, who briefly performed during the reception.
What does this mean for the Eagles?
Nothing operationally. Brown is signed through 2029 on his $96 million extension and is participating in voluntary OTAs without issue. The team has confirmed he'll be at mandatory minicamp on June 9. The wedding was scheduled during the OTA window because Brown was given a personal-day waiver by the team months in advance.
Anything else fans want to know?
The honeymoon is on hold. Brown and Riley are taking a delayed honeymoon in early July before training camp opens. The two are also planning to expand their philanthropic foundation, the Browns Foundation, which works with youth literacy programs in Memphis and Philadelphia. A formal announcement is expected during the team's annual back-to-school event in August.
