Baltimore Ravens center Danny Pinter will miss extended time after a right leg injury suffered during Wednesday's joint practice with the Vikings, coach Jesse Minter said, with the team seeking additional medical opinions before finalizing a diagnosis.
How significant is the injury?
NFL Network reported it as a torn patella tendon, which is typically season-ending, though that has not yet been confirmed by the team. Pinter, 30, was carted off the field and was set to win his first career starting center job after Tyler Linderbaum's departure to Las Vegas.
Who fills in at center?
Ethan Pocic, signed to a one-year deal last month while working back from an Achilles injury, and Jovaughn Gwyn are the top candidates. Corey Bullock, recently activated off the non-football illness list, will also compete for reps and is expected to see snaps in Saturday's preseason game against Minnesota.
