Browns power back who led all rookies in rushing efficiency in 2025 before a Week 16 leg injury, now Cleveland's lead runner.
Quinshon Judkins was the Browns' second-round pick in 2025 and immediately became one of the most productive rookie running backs in football. The Ohio State national champion ran for 827 yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries before a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle in Week 16 ended his season. He enters 2026 as Cleveland's clear lead back.
Path to the league
Transferred from Ole Miss to Ohio State and won a national championship before Cleveland took him 36th overall in 2025. A downhill, contact-balanced runner who forces missed tackles at a high rate.
2025 rookie season
Started all 14 of his appearances, rushing 230 times for 827 yards and seven touchdowns. Generated 555 yards after contact, 10th in the NFL, and ranked among the most efficient rookie backs in the league before fracturing his fibula and dislocating his ankle in a Week 16 loss to Buffalo.
Role with the Browns
The centerpiece of Cleveland's backfield overhaul, drafted as the lead runner the same offseason the team reshaped its skill positions. His health entering 2026 is the variable; his production when on the field was not in question.
