Matthew Stafford Becomes First Player to Hold Two Teams' Passing Touchdown Records

Stafford's 155th touchdown pass with the Rams, to Puka Nacua in the 35-21 win at Las Vegas, passed Roman Gabriel. He already holds Detroit's record with 282.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford set the franchise record for touchdown passes in Sunday's 35-21 win at Las Vegas, making him the first player to hold that record for two teams. His 11-yard touchdown to Puka Nacua in the second quarter was his 155th with the Rams, one more than Roman Gabriel. He also holds the Lions' record with 282.

How did the day go?

Stafford went 23 of 29 for 195 yards with three touchdowns, all in the first half, tying his career high for touchdowns in a half, and his 79 percent completion rate was his best since 2018. He also passed Jim Everett for second in Rams history in completions with 1,851. "It's pretty cool," he said, joking that the record "just means you're old." Nacua played through a calf injury that had him listed as questionable.

Where does it leave the Rams?

At 3-4 after a game they led 28-6 at halftime. Stafford has 1,989 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.
