Tyreek Hill Could Sign Within Days, Agent Says, With Chiefs in Contact
Update: Hill's wife testified Tuesday in a Florida civil assault and battery trial tied to the couple's divorce, and the NFL says the allegations remain under review. No signing has been reported.
Free agent receiver Tyreek Hill is close to choosing a team. "I would anticipate Tyreek potentially signing with a team over the next few days," his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN, adding that he planned to open talks with multiple clubs on Monday.
Why is he available?
Hill dislocated his left knee and tore his ACL in Week 4 of the 2025 season, and the Dolphins released him in February. The Chiefs, who have stayed in contact, believe he is aiming to be ready to play in November.
Why would Kansas City make sense?
Need and familiarity. The 4-0 Chiefs lost Tyquan Thornton to a dislocated left ankle and Rashee Rice to a hamstring injury in Sunday's win at Las Vegas. Hill spent his first six seasons in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid and scored 62 touchdowns there. No deal has been reported.
What else is pending?
A civil trial in Florida in which Lakeeta Vaccaro is seeking damages for assault and battery, with testimony that began Tuesday. The NFL has said her allegations are under review under the personal conduct policy, which any signing team would have to weigh.
