One of the league's most productive ball-hawking corners over the past three years, Paulson Adebo cashed in with a $54 million deal after four standout seasons in New Orleans.
Paulson Adebo built his name in New Orleans as a lockdown corner who broke up passes at an elite rate, then landed a lucrative free-agent deal with the Giants. A knee injury slowed his first year in New York, but his track record as a takeaway machine remains the foundation of his game.
Path to the league
Adebo starred at Stanford before the New Orleans Saints drafted him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He started 51 of 52 games across his first four NFL seasons, establishing himself quickly as a full-time starter in New Orleans' secondary.
Career highlights
Adebo's best statistical season came in 2023, when he posted 76 tackles, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, with his 18 passes defensed ranking third-most in the NFL. He signed a three-year, $54 million contract with the New York Giants in free agency after four productive seasons with the Saints.
2025 season recap
In his first year with the Giants, Adebo posted 73 tackles and eight passes defensed, including an interception, but appeared in only 12 games after a knee injury cost him five contests. It marked his fewest interceptions in a season since 2022, though he still turned in the second-highest tackle total of his career.
