Chip Trayanum's college career wound through Arizona State, Ohio State, Kentucky and Toledo, and even included a detour to linebacker before he settled back at running back. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft after a first-team All-MAC season at Toledo and signed with the Jets, hoping durability and physicality earn him a look in a crowded backfield.

Path to the league

A four-star recruit, Trayanum began his career at Arizona State before transferring to Ohio State, where the coaching staff moved him to linebacker for a stretch. He later transferred again to Kentucky and finally to Toledo for his last season of eligibility in 2025, settling back at running back for good.

Career highlights

Across his college career, Trayanum carried the ball 428 times for 2,272 yards and 25 touchdowns while adding 36 receptions for 303 yards and two more scores through the air.
