Timothy McKay logged six seasons in Raleigh at NC State, developing into a full-time starter at guard and tackle before signing with Washington as an undrafted free agent. A pro-day injury cost him his first professional season, and he now looks to prove himself as Commanders offensive line depth.
Path to the league
McKay played six seasons at NC State from 2019 to 2024, appearing in 55 games with 34 starts and becoming a full-time starter in 2022 at guard and tackle. He earned an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl and went undrafted in 2025, signing with the Washington Commanders.

McKay was a four-star recruit out of Wakefield High School in Raleigh before becoming a multi-year starter on NC State's offensive line. He is the younger brother of quarterback Matthew McKay, also a football player.
2025 season recap
